FALOG pays particular attention to the confidentiality and security of information communicated to it. This policy describes the principles applicable to personal data processed through the website and requests addressed to FALOG.

The website form is currently disabled. No information entered into the form is transmitted or stored. It will be activated only after the appropriate data-processing arrangement has been implemented and validated.

The data controller is FALOG Global Forwarding SUARL, located at Maristes 1, Rue HB 245, Villa No. 147 – Dakar, Senegal.

For questions concerning personal data, you may use the general contact address already displayed on the website.

  • full name
  • company and position, where provided
  • business email address
  • telephone number, where provided
  • country, destination and operation schedule
  • product, service, quantity and information relating to the requirement
  • content of communications and documents voluntarily provided
  • technical data strictly required for website operation and security.

Do not submit banking details, passwords, identity documents or other sensitive information that is unnecessary for the initial assessment of the request.

3. Purposes

Personal data may be used only to:

  • receive and assess a request
  • respond to the person concerned
  • assess feasibility and the scope of a possible intervention
  • provide the requested pre-contractual or commercial follow-up
  • protect the security and proper operation of the website
  • comply with applicable legal obligations.

Data must not be used for a purpose incompatible with that for which it was provided.

4. Basis for processing

Depending on the nature of the request, processing is based on steps taken at the request of the person concerned, the need to manage a commercial relationship, consent where required or compliance with a legal obligation.

5. Recipients

Personal data is accessible only to authorised persons within FALOG and, where necessary, to technical or professional service providers acting strictly within the scope of their assignment.

FALOG does not sell or rent personal data.

6. Retention

Information relating to an enquiry that does not lead to a contractual relationship may be retained for up to twenty-four months after the last meaningful communication, unless the person objects or retention is required by law or for the establishment, exercise or defence of legal rights.

Where a contractual relationship is established, the relevant information and documents may be retained for the periods required to perform the relationship and comply with applicable legal, accounting and evidential obligations.

7. Transfers and technical providers

Some technical service providers may process information from a country different from that of the person concerned. Before activating the form, FALOG will identify the relevant providers and assess the safeguards applicable to such processing and transfers.

Until this assessment has been completed, the form will remain disabled.

8. Security

FALOG implements reasonable organisational and technical measures to protect personal data against unauthorised access, loss, alteration or disclosure. As no system can provide absolute security, users should avoid submitting sensitive information that is not necessary.

9. Individual rights

Subject to the conditions provided by applicable law, individuals may request access to their data, its correction, updating or deletion, or object to certain processing.

Requests may be sent to the general contact address displayed on the website. FALOG may request information reasonably necessary to verify the requester’s identity and process the request.

Individuals may also contact the competent Senegalese personal data protection authority.

10. Cookies and analytics

FALOG does not currently use advertising tools, profiling technologies or non-essential audience-measurement cookies on this website.

Mechanisms strictly required for operation, security, navigation or language selection may be used.

Do not add a consent banner unless a non-essential cookie or tracking tool is introduced. If such a tool is introduced later, this policy and the consent mechanism must be updated before activation.

12. Updates

FALOG may update this policy to reflect changes to the website, its processing activities or applicable requirements.
